The Vanguard Brewpub

The Vanguard Brewpub stands as a cornerstone of the Hampton, Virginia community, housed within the historic walls of a renovated 1918 National Guard Armory. As a veteran-owned establishment, we take immense pride in our roots, honoring the spirit of service and camaraderie that defined this building for generations. By blending the tradition of military heritage with a modern passion for craft, we have transformed a space once dedicated to national defense into a vibrant sanctuary for celebration, conversation, and exceptional flavor.

At the heart of our mission is an unwavering commitment to the craft beverage experience. Our venue operates as both a premier brewpub and an artisanal craft distillery, where every pint poured and spirit poured reflects our dedication to quality and innovation. Beyond the glass, The Vanguard serves as a dynamic entertainment hub that brings the Hampton community together. We are more than just a destination for food and drink; we are a gathering place where veterans and civilians alike can connect, support local culture, and make lasting memories in a space built on a foundation of respect, authenticity, and pride.
